White Gold Charms

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

I like white gold charms. White gold is among the purest and most noble metals. It has such a simple, yet elegant appearance to it. It looks clean, bright, and burnished. Of course, high quality silver also looks bright when it is shined, but unfortunately silver oxidizes easily. White gold charms do not have tarnish easily. They keep shining year after year.

My collection actually started when one of my sisters bought me a white gold heart charm a few years ago for my birthday. I had never really had an expensive piece of jewelry before, and at first it was a little bit embarrassed. I didn’t know what to do with it. I didn’t even have a good chain to put it on, so my sister quickly remedy that. When I got that white gold anklet, I decided to collect jewelry charms until I could completely fill it up.

About every six months, I would get a white gold charm as a gift. It was a good thing that I didn’t stock up on decorations for my anklet too soon, or else I would have run out of room by the time it was over. Although things ended badly, I still keep those white gold charms on me at all times. I can’t help it. They are my favorite pieces of jewelery.

Nose Piercing Jewelry

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Today, it is not that big of a deal for the most part, and more and more people are doing it.

In most places where my friends and I have gone, the nose piercing jewelry that you first get is going to be a corkscrew ring. That means there is a small head on the ring, like a gem or even a silver or gold ball. The end of the rod is going to curl around. That helps it stay in your nose.

One thing that you should realize when you are getting a piercing in your nose is that you do have to care for it as you would your ears. The person who pierces your nose should tell you how to take care of your new hole. You should never use alcohol or peroxide on a piercing through the nose, as those will clean the hole, but will also try to push your nose piercing jewelry out.

You should also know that unlike your ears, the nose does not heal. What that means is that the hole in your nose will not stay there if you choose to go without your nose piercing jewelry for even 24 hours.

Remember to never change your nose piercing jewelry when you nose is dry. That can cause scarring and pain. Add something to lube it up. I use saline solution when I change mine, though you could use your cleaner to do the same thing.

Whatever you choose, remember to keep it clean and never take it out unless you are replacing it immediately.
